While waiting on passports, we did a bit of sightseeing. First, we went to the Jade Emperor Pagoda. It was very interesting, and the art was beautiful, but it was so hot and opressing! The inside was dark, close, the smell of incense was strong, and the candles made the rooms like ovens! The architecture was very elaborate, and I enjoyed the Tortoise Shelter. The War Remnants Museum was definitely told from a Communist Vietnamese point of view about the atrocities committed by American, French and Chinese soldiers - mostly American. It is grim and extremely graphic. You can see from the picture of Ephraim and me outside that it was a very hot day today!
