Yesterday sixteen of us went to Six Flags. Although there has been a drought in Atlanta, we had scattered thunderstorms all day long. Even still we got to ride lots of rides between showers, and the lines were short because most people weren't crazy enough to stick it out all day long. Fortunately Ben's dad kept Ephraim for us, which was a blessing. It would have been tough to take him. Ephraim got plenty of pampering from grandparents instead. The kids were all dressed for riding the water rides anyway, so a little rain didn't bother them. In fact I think their favorite part of the day was splashing in the deep puddles. They did close the park an hour early due to severe thunderstorms, and we had a harrowing drive home in some of the worst weather we have ever driven in. By the time we finally made it home, we were exhausted and our nerves were frayed.
A kind lady stopped and asked if we would like her to take a couple of pictures of our family for us. Those are the two group shots in which the kids are behaving! Bailey and Thomas were off by themselves riding roller coasters, so they didn't make it in our group shots. I had been looking forward to getting a picture taken with all the kids, but since we left Ephraim behind, that didn't work out anyway. Logan will be in Germany until the middle of next July, so it will be quite awhile before we can manage an entire family photo!
